A new train driver apprenticeship programme – the first of its kind in the UK has helped TfW win a prestigious award.

The Conwy Valley and North Wales Coast Community Rail Partnership is proud to announce the installation of two captivating pieces of artwork aimed at promoting rail safety, a project that emerged from a collaborative effort between Transport for Wales, British Transport Police (BTP), and Ysgol Christ the Word Catholic School.

New electric TrawsCymru buses running between Carmarthen and Aberystwyth have seen a 65% increase in passengers this year. 

History was made this month as the very first electric train ran north of Cardiff to Pontypridd during daylight hours.  

Targeted improvements on a north Wales railway line have been reaping huge benefits for rail customers.

Employing 22 more female train drivers during 2022/23 has helped to further reduce the gender pay gap at Transport for Wales (Rail).

The App Support Team at Transport for Wales, all of whom are either deaf or hard of hearing, have won the Best Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Award at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development Wales (CIPD) awards ceremony.
