A new community-led art installation celebrating the identity, landscape and stories of Prees has been officially unveiled at Prees railway station as part of this year’s Community Rail Week

A brand-new railway bridge will be installed at Cathays railway station with work starting on 13 June 2026. 

Passengers are being advised of essential engineering work taking place on the North Wales railway between Chester and Llandudno Junction from the early hours of Saturday 6 June and reopening in the early hours of Monday 8 June.

Timetable improvements are being introduced to the Transport for Wales TrawsCymru T6 service to improve punctuality and the overall reliability of the service.

With a busy Bank Holiday weekend and warm weather forecast, Transport for Wales (TfW) is encouraging passengers to plan ahead as essential rail improvements take place across the Cardiff and Valleys network.
