TrawsCymru longer distance bus services are an important part of the integrated public transport network in Wales. 

The success of bus services in North Wales is being celebrated during Better Transport Week (June 17 to 23).

Following a successful 12 months for the all-electric TrawsCymru T1 bus service between Carmarthen and Aberystwyth, Transport for Wales (TfW) has announced a revised fare structure for the T1 route.  

Transport for Wales (TfW) has teamed up with Hywel Dda University Health Board (UHB) to offer free bus travel for health board staff as part of a new pilot to encourage workers to travel more sustainably and to help reduce pressure on its car parks.

Brand-new electric buses that will support sustainable travel in Gwynedd will begin operating on Monday 12 February, Transport for Wales and Cyngor Gwynedd have announced.

Transport for Wales is encouraging people to save money and enjoy the festive season by offering half price day tickets on TrawsCymru routes T1, T1C, T2, T3, T3C, T6, T8 and T10 on Fridays in the run up to Christmas, when purchased on the TrawsCymru app.  

If you use the TrawsCymu app to purchase your tickets and have a mytravelpass, from Monday 30 October you will need to verify your travel pass in the app to prove your eligibility to purchase ‘mytravelpass 16-21’ discount tickets.

Transport for Wales (TfW) has announced changes to its rail replacement service in Barmouth due to road closures beginning in early November.

The 1Bws ticket available for bus services across North Wales now offers a one price weekly ticket as well as daily.
