Transport for Wales (TfW) customers are being advised to plan their journeys carefully next week with services set to be disrupted by two days of national industrial action.

A new ‘Talking Transport’ toolkit has been launched today (Monday 18 July) to improve engagement between Transport for Wales and the communities it serves.

Transport for Wales (TfW) and their infrastructure delivery partners Amey Infrastructure Wales, Alun Griffiths Ltd, Balfour Beatty and Siemens Rail are being shortlisted for the Construction News Awards in the category of ‘Supply Chain Excellence’.

Brand new trains that will transform and improve transport throughout Wales and the borders have been on show at Chester railway station. 

Rail passengers are being urged to plan ahead with two line closures in place from Saturday to allow work to continue on the South Wales Metro.

Transport for Wales (TfW) has created arrival hubs at Cardiff and Wrexham railway stations to help Ukrainian nationals.

Nine areas across Wales are set to benefit from £100,000 of funding to enhance nature at new and existing woodlands.

In August 2021 a section of Ffordd Bleddyn road was closed to vehicles to allow for improvement works to be carried out for the creation of an under-bridge tunnel, which will allow our trains to enter the depot site from the existing tracks just South of Taff’s Well Station. Since then, a footpath for cyclists and pedestrians has remained open.
