Transport for Wales (TW) has kicked off a new partnership with the Football Association of Wales to improve public transport for fans travelling to and from national matches and major Welsh fixtures.

Tap in and tap out train travel is now available at 25 stations in North East Wales as TfW extends the ticketing product to 10 new stations on the network. 

This once-in-a-generation programme will deliver years’ worth of improvements during a four-week railway closure in January 2027.

Transport for Wales is encouraging Wrexham AFC fans to tap into pay as you go this season as fixtures get underway at the STōK Cae Ras. 

Edwards Coaches has been appointed to operate TaithCymru, Transport for Wales’s new coach service directly connecting north and south-west Wales.
