Rail passengers in South Wales are being urged to plan ahead with essential improvement work taking place on the network over the May bank holiday weekend.
Work is being carried out to extend the platform at Taff’s Well station as part of the South Wales Metro project.
There will be no trains in both directions between Radyr and Pontypridd from Friday 29th to Monday 31st May. Replacement bus services will be available.
Passengers should visit www.tfw.wales for the most up-to-date information before travelling and are reminded that face masks must be worn on public transport, unless exempt.
The South Wales Metro will significantly improve connectivity throughout South Wales and provide access to jobs, leisure and other opportunities for the people of Wales, through unifying rail, bus and active travel routes.
The South Wales Metro project has been part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund through Welsh Government.
