fflecsi passengers on the Conwy Valley route can now buy tickets using the fflecsi app.
fflecsi is a demand responsive bus service that’s been operating in the Conwy Valley since 2020, connecting the bustling towns of Betws-y-Coed and Llanwrst with surrounding villages.
Passengers can be picked up and dropped off anywhere within the fflecsi zone between 6.30am and 7.00pm, Monday to Saturday.
Huw Morgan, Head of Integrated Transport at Transport for Wales, said:
“The Conwy Valley fflecsi has been successfully operating in rural communities for almost four years and we’re pleased to be launching this new payment method.
“Over 15,000 passengers have used the service in the last 12 months, with 95% of passengers giving us a 5 star rating. They find the fflecsi service to be a reliable and efficient transport solution that provides them with the necessary connections to make onward journeys in the area.
“We are launching this in the Conwy Valley area and will then look to roll it out across our other fflecsi zones all over Wales.”
For those passengers who do not wish to pay through the app, the option to pay on bus is still available, and you can pay by cash, contactless or debit card, when you get on board. Concessionary passengers (bus pass holders) will still of course travel for free. You cannot pay for tickets through the call centre.
Notes to editors
- Conwy Valley fflecsi is a demand responsive bus service which does not have a fixed route and timetable but an operating zone

- Passengers are informed where to catch the bus and what time it will be arriving – the pick-up point will be as near as possible to the location of the passenger.
- Customers using the service will be able to buy their tickets up to 30 days in advance through using the app.
