12 May 2026

Mark your diaries - fflecsi Llŷn Peninsula will begin operating again from Saturday 23 May - Sunday 6 September.

Operating within one of the most beautiful sections of the Wales Coast Path, this service is perfect for travelling around north-West Wales. Visiting Llŷn Peninsula means you can enjoy rural scenery, sweeping coastlines, beach-hopping and coastal dining. fflecsi also acts as a great transport link along the Wales Coast Path and connects to the Cambrian Line in Pwllheli.

Wondering how you can make use of our fflecsi Llŷn Peninsula service this summer? Here are three ways to spend the day in this beautiful part of Wales.

1. Plan a beach day

Pack your suncream, sunglasses and beach towel for a day out at one of the many beaches on Llŷn Peninsula.

Not-so-hidden gem Llanbedrog Beach is a popular choice, where you’ll find colourful beach huts, golden sands and easy access to coastal trails. The beach also has a café, perfect for an ice cream with unbeatable sea views.

Traeth Porthor is another beautiful spot, famous for its singing sands. Offering clear blue waters and a rugged coastline, this beach is perfect for bodyboarding. If you’d rather a lazy day, bring a good book, relax on the sands, and pop into the beach café.

2. Explore the Wales Coast Path

This section of the Wales Coast Path is a must if you’re in the area, offering an abundance of scenic trails. For a shorter walk, why not try Nefyn to Porthdinllaen?

At just under 3 miles, you can admire coastal views and spot seals before you arrive at the old fishing village of Porthdinllaen. Once you arrive at Porthdinllaein, explore the fishing village and book fflecsi to pick you up when you’re ready to head back.

3. Discover the local food scene

Enjoy coastal dining at its finest in Abersoch, one of the areas serviced by our fflecsi Llyn Peninsula service.

Home to plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafés, Abersoch is a foodie’s dream. For fine dining, head to The Potted Lobster, named Welsh Seafood Restaurant of the Year in 2026.

As well as local seafood, you’ll find a range of cuisines in Abersoch. From Mexican flavours at Mañana Restaurant to a taste of Thailand at Deli Thai Restaurant, there’s plenty to choose from.
