Stori Keiran

10 Feb 2023

Meet Keiran, our Risk Analysist apprentice. He tells us what it’s like to be part of TfW’s apprenticeship programme.

I started my apprenticeship role for Transport For Wales (TFW) at the start of January 2023, and in that short period of time I can proudly say I’m a part of such an amazing Risk team who’s been a breath of fresh air to work with, who’s made sure I’m comfortable and always there to support me.

The welcome has been so positive to already feel part of a family and team across the whole of TFW. The whole experience in the run up before being chosen in my apprenticeship role was something I have never experienced personally but was a process I really enjoyed. Being able to meet the people you could potentially be working with and then able to showcase your skills in unique and fun ways, all while visiting the new TFW Pontypridd offices and seeing the amazing facilities on the day.

I see this a massive opportunity to grow and develop my skills in so many ways and to also have further career and personal development within my role. I‘d honestly recommend for anyone to do an apprenticeship, whether it’s a change of Career, coming out of School/College or University or being in a situation where you are undecided.
