Whether you fancy a hike in the hills of Eryri or prefer a historic stroll through the town of Caernarfon, here are 5 bus routes you should try out this September in North Wales

Step back in time with the T2 to Caernarfon

 Enriched with history, Caernarfon is a great spot to explore this autumn. Thanks to the T2 TrawsCymru service between Bangor and Aberystwyth, it’s easy to get to and you’ll be exploring the castle grounds in no time. Simply hop on the T2 TrawsCymru bus right outside of Bangor train station and you’ll be able to reach the royal town of Gwynedd in around 35 minutes.

Explore Eryri National Park

Whether you fancy walking to the summit or prefer a gentle ride through the park, the Sherpa’r Wyddfa S1 route offers a breath-taking bus ride like no other. By leaving the car at home, you can help to ease congestion within the national park plus you’ll enjoy uninterrupted views. The S1 service runs from Betws-y-Coed to Caernarfon.

Enjoy fflecsi-bility in Betws-y-Coed

Discover hidden gems with the T10

Part of the Eryri National Park, you’ll find the beautiful spot of Capel Curig. Hop on the T10 from Betws Y Coed and take in the picture-perfect scene. You can continue onto Bangor or Corwen using the T10 service.

Take an electric ride to Blaenau Ffestiniog on the T22

Once a slate mining town, Blaenau Ffestiniog offers a unique setting nestled between the Moelwynion mountains. The best bit? You can enjoy a journey on board an all-electric bus so there’s benefit to the environment too. Complete with wireless and USB charging and on board information screens, you can sit back and enjoy a quiet ride along the route which spans from Blaenau Ffestiniog, to the coastal town of Porthmadog and finally on to Caernarfon.

*1bws is valid on all local bus services operating in North Wales (the counties of Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd, Isle of Anglesey and Wrexham) with the exception of service 28 between Mold and Flint. It is also not valid on tourist services operated by open top buses, on National Express coach services and park and ride services. 1Bws tickets are accepted on Fflecsi services but journeys must still be booked via the app or telephone.
